I was planning to film Escanaba & Lake Superior ELS 503 & 400 taking a train south on Friday afternoon, I even caught them at the "curve crossing" in Granite Bluff before going to the next crossing to wait and wait... After a few loops the first fire truck arrived, and then another.. After a bit the mow crew arrived, along with the Dickinson County Emergency Manager who normally deals with major scenes. After another fire truck arrives and more county workers, the scene was deemed "not a major disaster" as emergency responders cleared the scene and the manager gave me a statement as to what "officially" happened.
