Watch On My Radar with Kamran Khan, Mon to Fri at 8:03 PM on ARY News! Pakistan is facing a growing food affordability crisis. While global hunger is declining, 63% of Pakistanis, around 161 million people, could not afford a healthy meal last year. Household incomes may have nearly doubled, but real incomes have fallen and poverty has risen from 21.9% to 28.9%. The poorest 20% have seen a 16% decline in real consumption, while consumption among the richest 20% increased by 7%. From declining consumption of rice, pulses, milk and meat to an increasingly unequal diet, the crisis is now being felt at Pakistan’s dinner tables. What does this mean for Pakistan’s food security, poverty and the health of future generations? Watch On My Radar with Kamran Khan, featuring Abid Qaiyum Suleri, Executive Director, SDPI, and Shamsul Islam Khan, Food Security Expert, as they examine Pakistan’s deepening food affordability crisis. #nukta #nuktapakistan #onmyradar #omr #kamrankhan #pakistanfoodcrisis #foodemergency #povertypakistan Follow us on: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?...
