Originally American Brass, then it became Aurubis, the copper alloy plant in North Buffalo, NY now operates under a new name: Wieland. Despite a new company taking over, the plant still operates the same, along with their intra-plant GE 80 Ton switcher, which I happen to catch again after a long hiatus. On this day, after arriving too late to catch the morning run shuffling empty flatcars and copper cakes between the casting and re-roll departments, I went back for the afternoon run and was lucky enough to see the old blue switcher moving a single flatcar to what I am assuming is the plant's repair shop, passing their back-up GE 50 Tonner in the process!
