How to Create a Line Drawing from a Reference Photo | Coloured Pencil Art

Before starting a realistic coloured pencil drawing, you first need to create an accurate line drawing from your reference photo. But what's the best way to do it? In this video, I go through several different methods, including freehand drawing, the grid method, digital tracing, using a light box or projector, and tracing your line drawing with graphite. I'll also share the methods I personally use and a few tips to help you avoid damaging your final drawing surface before you've even started! There is no right or wrong method.
