Bath time for buses - Southend RMs

Welcome to my second 'flashback' classic video, from 1992 and a rare look 'behind the scenes' for you! As I worked there, I was able to film what the general public never sees - 'fuel and wash time', here at the Southend Transport Garage at London Road (sadly demolished for a retail park many years ago). Don't miss the trip through the bus wash on board too! With the end of Southend Transport's AEC Routemasters not far off back then, here's a selection of them queuing up, getting fuelled, driving through the bus-wash machine before driving past to park up in neat lines in the garage afterwards. ** Bear in mind this was filmed 34 years ago (at the time of uploading), on a Video8 camcorder, so standards are not as I can offer today in 2026 **.
