In this video I show how to find this secret necromancer house in Skyrim Anniversary Edition / Creation Club, complete the “Dreams of the Dead” quest, survive the angry poltergeist, and turn this creepy cave into a full-on Necromancer HQ on Legendary difficulty. We start from Windhelm, find Mara’s Eye Pond, locate the hidden entrance to Gallows Hall and read the apprentice’s journals to trigger the haunt. Then I solve the map puzzle, grab the Staff of Worms, raise the hooded skeleton, loot the arch-necromancer’s key, open the safe, and collect the Bloodworm Helm. After that we pray to Vaermina, enter the dream world, hunt down the Dreamer’s Soul Gems, return to the waking world and use the Altar of the Revenant to turn them into Black Soul Gems and open the final chamber. In the end we fully unlock Gallows Hall as a free player home and necromancer base: • Staff of Worms – reanimate corpses and make them fight for you • Bloodworm Helm – buffs for necromancy and fighting undead • Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw (“fish helm”) – stamina & melee boost for battle-mage necros • Bone Forge – craft your own permanent skeleton bodyguard (tank, archer, etc.) • Altar of the Revenant – basically a Black Soul Gem printer for Grand/Greater souls • Plus a free creepy house carved into a cliff, full of coffins, blood circles and good life choices If you’re planning a Skyrim necromancer build, this is an amazing first stop: free necro house, unique necromancy gear, permanent skeleton follower, and infinite black soul gems for enchanting and soul trapping.
