Tacky Cuban Pete goes #GunneSaxoween // Humorous Halloween Handiwork

A monster mash of Halloween challenges, come with me as I create this dreadfully delightful amalgamation of all the collabs and prompts that are out there this spooky season, inspired by Jim Carrey’s character from “The Mask” 🪙 If you enjoy my work, toss a coin to your stitcher: https://ko-fi.com/shannonmakes 📸The 'Gram:   / making.seams.meet   Originally inspired by a prompt from @MiahGrace for “Costube Goes Party City: Halloween, But Make it Tacky” with a large serving of #GunneSaxoween glommed on, this costume was a fun creative challenge, using only recycled materials. --The fabric: mainly pulled from a garbage bag along the side of the road, but also some from the garbage at work, and some thrifted lace -- The buttons: the thrift store basically paid me to take some of their buttons -- The hat: pulled from a recycling center and covered with work-garbage-felt -- The thread: salvaged from garbage cans and discarded sewing kits all over the city (including our basement), as they're almost entirely the cheapest, lowest quality thread you can buy -- but they are holding this costume together, so they can't be that bad!
