In Peru, David sets out for the Amazon to gather wood and provide for his family, risking his life on crumbling roads battered by El Niño and extreme weather linked to global warming. In one of the world’s last intact rainforests, gas exploration and deforestation are rapidly destroying the jungle, forcing local communities to take part in its devastation to survive. At the end of his journey live the Masho Piro, one of the last isolated Indigenous peoples, now facing extinction as the Peruvian Amazon loses 145,000 hectares of forest each year.
