Cycling Sacramento: Sacramento River Trail from the Westin Hotel to Discovery Park, Garden Highway

Riding north on the Sacramento River Bike Trail from the Westin Hotel/Scott's Seafood on Riverside Blvd. The trail follows the bank of the Sacramento River to Discovery Park. The south end of the trail ends at this point and restarts for a short distance about a mile south, riders have to use Riverside Blvd. to connect the portions. Landowners between the portions and beyond claim land rights from their backyards to the river. There is ongoing litigation, hopefully eventually the trail will continue all the way south along the river. Our route travels past Miller Park, The Sacramento River Promenade, Old Sacramento and Discovery Park. We exit the Park onto the Garden Highway traveling east toward the Arden Garen Connector which connects with Arden Way. Thanks for watching!
