Best Coast - Boyfriend (10th Anniversary Edition)

Best Coast’s “Boyfriend (10th Anniversary Edition)” is out now: https://found.ee/bestcoast_boyfriend A note from Bethany: "Happy Pride! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 Last summer we put out a special LGBTQ+ version of 'Boyfriend' for one day only on Bandcamp and donated all of the proceeds to The Trevor Project. I know some of you missed out on it, so this year for pride we decided to make it available to you all on streaming services! The story goes like this: last year, the internet informed me that this song is considered a bit of an anthem to a lot of people in the LGBTQ+ community. The original song is about me pining over a boy in an incredibly unhealthy way and because of this, I’ve grown to really dislike the song and performing the song. Finding out it had a different meaning to the queer community excited me and I wanted to find a way to give back. I hope you listen to it this summer with your boo or whoever you wish was your boo 🤎 Love you lots and Happy Pride!!!"
