MeiMei Andrade - Mele o Kahoʻolawe - Mana Mele Showcase 2024

3RD PLACE - MELE HAWAI’I - MANA MELE DIVISION - KAIKAINA Meet MeiMei, a talented 6th grader with a voice that resonates with passion and purpose. Join us in showing her some aloha for this heartfelt performance in honor of the legacy of our kūpuna! In her rendition of ‘Mele o Kahoʻolawe’ by Harry Kunihi Mitchell, MeiMei beautifully captures the spirit of Aloha ʻĀina. She chose this song to honor the courageous kaiāulu who fought for the freedom of Kahoʻolawe, a poignant reminder of our history. -------------------------------- MAHALO to our Mana Maoli Collective Artists & Community Partners joining us to feature a few of their favorite Mana Mele Showcase submissions; Community Partners: Oiwi TV 808viral @hhhnewz on IG @protectmaunakea on IG & Haku Collective Mana Maoli Collective Artists: John Cruz , Raiatea Helm , Irie Love , Kimie Miner , Wayne Enos of Natural Vibrations , Kalani Pe'a , Lion Fiyah, Kaipo Hanakahi and Kamakakehau Fernandez Facebook: / manamaolicollective Instagram: / mana_maoli Mana Maoli: https://manamaoli.org/ The Mana Mele Project: https://www.manamele.org/
