4 Days in California’s Autumn Wilderness

Four days backpacking in the John Muir Wilderness, California, through golden aspens, alpine lakes and the mountains of the Eastern Sierra Nevada. An autumn hiking film with very little talking, natural sounds and some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever walked through. This was one of the best hikes I’ve ever done. I absolutely loved exploring this part of the High Sierra, and I can’t wait to come back and hike the full John Muir Trail one day. This film is a little different from my usual bikepacking adventures: a quieter, more visual account of hiking and camping in the mountains, closer to a silent hiking film, with more time for the landscapes and the sounds of the trail. I really enjoyed making it, and I’d love to hear what you think of the style and pacing in the comments.
