【Pokemon Emerald】#1 - Which Starter We Going With? | Hardcore Nuzlocke

In this stream, I will be attempting a Hardcore Nuzlocke of my favorite Pokemon game of all time, Pokemon Emerald!! What is a Hardcore Nuzlocke? A Hardcore Nuzlocke is a challenge where I play Pokemon Emerald, but with the following rules: 1. Only the first encounter in each area can be caught. 2. Every Pokemon gets a nickname. 3. If a Pokemon faints, it's dead for the rest of the run. 4. Battle style is set to SET. 5. No items in battle (held items are allowed). 6. Level cap: no Pokemon can be above the next Gym Leader's highest level Pokemon. 7. Dupes clause: no catching a Pokemon whose evolution line I already own. Duplicate encounters don't count as my first encounter. 8. Shiny clause: shinies can always be caught, even if they're dupes. 9. If my whole party faints, it's GAME OVER.
