Why did I leave Aerospace Engineering and choose Mechanical Engineering instead? ✈️⚙️ In this video, I explain why I decided to move from Aerospace Engineering to Mechanical Engineering and the career considerations that influenced my decision. I originally studied Aerospace Engineering at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Pakistan. However, as I thought more seriously about my long-term career, I began to reconsider whether aerospace was the right undergraduate degree for me. One of the biggest factors was the nature of Pakistan’s aerospace industry. While the industry is still developing and may offer opportunities for early-career professionals, I was concerned about long-term career stability and the relatively specialized nature of the field. I also discuss how nationality can affect access to certain defence-related and intelligence-related careers, and why I wanted a degree that would give me more flexibility in the job market. Mechanical Engineering offers a broader foundation in engineering, with opportunities across multiple industries. It also leaves open the possibility of pursuing Aerospace Engineering later through a master’s degree. In this video, I discuss: ✈️ Why I originally chose Aerospace Engineering ⚙️ Why I switched to Mechanical Engineering 🇵🇰 My perspective on Pakistan’s developing aerospace industry 💼 Career flexibility and long-term stability 🔐 Nationality restrictions in certain defence-related careers 🎓 The difference between a specialized and a broader engineering degree 🌍 Career opportunities across different engineering industries 📚 Why Mechanical Engineering can still lead to Aerospace Engineering at the master’s level 🇭🇺 My experience studying Mechanical Engineering at BME in Hungary This is my personal experience and reasoning. It is not a claim that Mechanical Engineering is universally better than Aerospace Engineering. Both fields offer different opportunities, and the right choice depends on your interests, career goals, and the opportunities available to you. I also plan to make a separate video explaining why I left my previous university and the academic decisions behind that transition. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📸 FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/chaotic_mur... 🎓 MY STIPENDIUM HUNGARICUM SCHOLARSHIP VIDEOS 🇭🇺 Complete Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Guide:    • Stipendium Hungaricum 2026 | How to Get th...   📄 Stipendium Hungaricum Documents Guide:    • Stipendium Hungaricum Documents Required |...   📝 How to Prepare for the USAT:    • USAT for Stipendium Hungaricum | Complete ...   ✍️ How to Write a Motivation Letter:    • How to Write a PERFECT Motivation Letter f...   🏆 My IELTS Band 8 Experience:    • How I Got Band 8 in IELTS With Just 7 Days...   🏠 MORE VLOGS FROM HUNGARY 🛒 Shopping and Student Life in Hungary:    • Grocery Shopping as a Student in Hungary -...   🍳 Cooking My Meals for the Week:    • Left Uni Early to Cook for the Week 🇭🇺 | I...   🍰 Making Pakistani Cake Rusks in My Dorm:    • I Was Craving Cake Rusks - The Pakistani K...   ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ If you’re considering Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, studying abroad or pursuing an engineering degree in Pakistan, I hope this video helps you understand some of the career considerations involved.
