How I am helping Mr. Cisco the mustang to become a trailer loading partner#2. video 176, 10/20/2026

This is the one hundred seventy-sixth video in Mr. Cisco the Mustang’s journey to become a trusting and trailer loading partner part 2. When Cisco first arrived at my ranch, he was very scared of me and suspicious of anything I had to offer. He was also not able to be touched with a rope, halter or stick. I needed to find a way to build trust and communication between us without force fear or intimidation. After a while I figured out that Cisco would take a horse cookie from me and pretty soon, he would follow me to get them. I use Mrs. Pastures Cookie for Horses as treats for Cisco, and he really seems to enjoy them. I started teaching Cisco to stand on a two-foot by three-foot wooden platform at liberty to help build trust, confidence and communication. First, he sniffed the platform then bit it and eventually Cisco "accidentally " touched it with his foot. Each time he made an effort I would reward him and leave so that he could figure out what had caused to the result that Cisco wanted. By standing on the opposite side of the platform and waiting until he chose to cross the platform for a treat, my ideas soon became his, and Cisco figured out the trick on his own. Cisco is gaining confidence and his personality is starting to show through, I hope you will join us on our journey as we see where this adventure leads us.
