Tunggu Sekejap (P Ramlee) - Rasa & Rhythm : Rudy Djoe Vocal, Daniel Purnomo Guitar

One of the highlights of Rasa & Rhythm, our intimate vocal-guitar show featuring classic Nusantara repertoire from Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia, together with some English favourites, was this beautiful P. Ramlee ballad: “Tunggu Sekejap” (Wait A While). ❤️🎶 It’s actually a relatively new song for me. I usually play “Getaran Jiwa”, another beautiful P. Ramlee classic, but while preparing for this show, I rediscovered Tunggu Sekejap. And personally, I think this song carries a deeper feeling. I love its sweet melody and beautiful harmony — there’s something very tender about it. And when Rudy sang it so soulfully, the song seemed to take on another dimension. 🎤🎸 A little apology though… 🙏 The recording sound got a little cracky in places. I hope you’ll forgive the less-than-perfect audio and that the overall feeling of the performance still comes through and is enjoyable. Here’s our rendition of "Tunggu Sekejap" :    • Tunggu Sekejap (P Ramlee) - Rasa & Rhythm ...   A little piece of Nusantara nostalgia, shared through one voice and quite a few guitar strings. Btw some of the audience asked for Rasa & Rhythm 2, and with this we answered, "Tunggu Sekejap" 😅
