(credits here in the description) - Paris Metro MF-88 on the 42nd Street Shuttle, round trip run between Grand Central and Times Square via track 3, on both the pre-2020 and 1980s version. The MF-88 has been in service since 1993, on Line 7bis. It is the 2nd train to feature open gangways after the MP-89, and each sets are formed in 3 cars. 8 sets are in service today while 1 set was retired and scrapped in 2013; the remaining sets are scheduled to be retired by the end of this year on Dec 12th, and replaced with the MF-19. Since the train doesn't have a detailed interior, only cab & railfanning views are included, but still better than nothing; the existing cab only version along with the other Paris Metro rolling stock of the same condition will be devoted only to cab view runs (uploaded as part of The Best of Railfanning, Plane Spotting, and Many More series). This is also a great find while waiting for the Paris Metro rolling stock release by OGR-42. Both NYC Subway and Paris Metro share the same 1,435 mm track gauge, and also the MF-88 runs on normal tracks only unlike the MP-05 which also ran this route previously. Track 3 was removed from service on the 42nd Street Shuttle in 2020 during the renovation project, in which it was left abandoned in the tunnel along with track 2. Trains have since been lengthened from 3 to 4 cars, to 6 cars (4 car trains were used on track 3, while 3 car trains were used on tracks 1 and 4 respectively), as well as both station platfoms being lengthened at Grand Central and Times Square.
