Mae Whitlow Second Shift

Mae Whitlow | Second Shift The spotlight fades. The applause ends. But for Mae Whitlow, the second shift is just beginning. “Second Shift” tells the story of a woman who has spent her life giving pieces of herself to everyone else. Behind the makeup, the stage lights, and the expectations lies a quieter longing: to find someone who sees the woman, not just the performer. She doesn't need saving. She doesn't need another spotlight. She just wants something real. An intimate, soulful blend of country and Americana, Second Shift explores the loneliness behind success, the exhaustion of always being strong, and the courage it takes to keep looking for love. “I don't need no savin' Don't need a spotlight…” Credits Artist: Mae Whitlow Song: Second Shift Lyrics & Creative Direction :Peter MacNeil Mixing and Mastering: Peter MacNeil Artwork & Visual Direction: Peter MacNeil © 2026 petermacneil socan.
