On July 11th, I had just chased steam engine 4014 through Pennsylvania and later decided to go to the Horseshoe Curve to see if I could catch any freight trains. The curve is just outside of Altoona, PA, and has three tracks for trains to pass by. As soon as I got there, Amtrak's Pennsylvanian train passed by while heading towards Pittsburgh, PA. I stayed there for a little over an hour and saw about five Norfolk Southern trains pass by. The last NS train also had two NS pusher engines at the end, which were helping guide the train down the mountain. The curve has about 50 to 60 trains that pass by every day. I definitely recommend going here if you’re interested in seeing multiple trains in a short time. I’m hoping to come back here sometime in the future. 0:00- Amtrak's Pennsylvanian train passing by 1:07- Eastbound NS freight train 5:00- Westbound NS intermodal train 12:28- Eastbound NS intermodal train 19:01- Inclined-Plane railway 19:51- Another Westbound NS intermodal train 26:39- Eastbound NS tanker train 33:38- NS pusher engines passing by 35:26- Several pictures of the trains
