Silent Hiking the Timberline Trail

At the end of July we did the Timberline Trail around Mt Hood. The Timberline trail runs 40 miles around Mt Hood starting at Timberline Lodge. The trail brings you to some amazing waterfalls and you get great views of Mt Hood. Not to mention there is some of the best tasting water I have ever had. We had to leave early since the Grasshopper fire was spreading too close for comfort. As of 9/18 the Grasshopper fire is 97% contained with 97,000 acres burned. It had been the worst fire season to date in Oregon. My best wishes go out to anyone affected by these fires.
