I’m running for Cupertino City Council because our community deserves leadership grounded in real world experience, public safety expertise, and practical problem solving. For more than fifty years as a professional engineer, I’ve managed major infrastructure and transportation projects across the Bay Area — work that demanded facts, analysis, and sound decision making rather than ideology. I believe those same principles should guide city government. Cupertino is facing serious challenges: state mandated housing density, wildfire and evacuation risks, rising costs for families and businesses, and increasing pressure on local control. These issues require honest discussion and solutions rooted in engineering reality, public safety, and fiscal responsibility. My priorities are clear: affordability, housing, fiscal responsibility, transparency, public safety, and restoring local control. Affordability is not just about housing — it’s tied to California’s broader cost structure, including taxes, energy costs, regulatory burdens, and infrastructure expenses. Housing policy must respect local conditions, wildfire hazards, evacuation capacity, and neighborhood safety. Public safety is government’s first responsibility. I support responsible, infrastructure supported growth, practical environmental stewardship, and transportation safety grounded in Vision Zero engineering principles. I will work to strengthen Cupertino’s financial future by supporting small and medium sized businesses, improving customer service, streamlining permitting, and advocating for state regulatory reforms. My commitments include: • Protecting neighborhoods and restoring local control • Prioritizing wildfire and evacuation safety • Strengthening fiscal responsibility and transparency • Supporting local businesses and revenue stability • Ensuring development aligns with infrastructure capacity • Grounding decisions in facts, data, and engineering analysis Cupertino deserves leadership focused on results, not slogans. I’m running to protect our quality of life and address the real challenges facing our community today.
