The making of Portrait Embroidery #3— ❤️ Thread Painting

Hi everyone, this is Winnie 😊 Sorry it’s been long time I couldn’t update, have been busy working on few commissions. This piece is commissioned, based on a picture. ( ps. If you want a thread painting of your love ones, please DM Instagram @miu_embroidery or email for commission work, there is a wait-list but not too long 😊) In this video I showed my working progress from start to finished. I did trace a simple outline, but I always add in the details later by drawing on it. Couldn’t film all the process because after finished the upper part of the face I started to have doubt and struggled 😂 But just have to trust the process, and keep on stitching. The hair was really difficult, it’s a braid or a twist and it’s curly, I had to stitch layer by layer and keep changing the stitch directions. Well, most of the time I have no idea what I’m doing, but eventually it’s done. Took me really long time to make it, too long that I even lost count the hours. It’s challenging but I’m happy with the result.
