Did the Finales Ruin RTD2?

Russell T Davies may have ruined two entire seasons of Doctor Who with just TWO episodes. I gave Empire of Death and The Reality War are not good. But here's the problem: this same era gave us 73 Yards, Boom, The Well, and some fantastic moments from Ncuti Gatwa. So, were those finales really bad enough to sink the whole era? Or have I been letting two terrible endings make me forget everything RTD2 actually got right?
