4/29/1974 Angels at Red Sox game action California lineup includes Bobby V, Denny Doyle, Joe Lahoud!

This is a 26-minute video of action from the April 29, 1974 Major League Baseball game between the California Angels and the Red Sox in Boston, won by the Angels, 7-2. It is film, with crowd noise only, from the WCVB Collection, transferred by Northeast Historical Film. The Angels, in their first game after a team meeting, tee off on the Red Sox' Luis Tiant, who falls to 1-3 on the season. Tommy McCraw, in perhaps the best game of his life, tags El Tiante for two homers and two doubles. California has a fun lineup for Boston fans to watch, what with future Yankee pest Mickey Rivers, future Sox second baseman Denny Doyle, future Sox manager Bobby Valentine, and ex-Sox ballyhooed bust Joe Lahoud.
