The Tale of Dasara - Part 05

Dasara is one of Karnataka's most popular festivals, celebrated over the 10 days of Navarathri in the cultural capital of Mysore. While it is believed that Dasara originated during the Vijayanagar rule (14 - 15th century), the festivities are very intimately linked to the Mysore Royal family. In this episode, Shri Rajachandra Urs, the son-in-law of the 25th and last Maharaja of Mysore - HH Jaya Chamaraja Wadiyar narrated the story of Dasara and its origins. This is the 5th of the series The Tale of Dasara. #mysoredasara #festivalsofindia #dasara2025 #dasaraelephants #royalmysoredasara #mysorecukturalcapitalofkarnataka #mayafilms 🔔 Get alerts when we release any new video.
