Transportation infrastructure is moving beyond traditional plan sheets and PDFs toward a connected digital environment where information can move from design through construction and into operations. This webinar will explore the evolution of digital delivery from intelligent design models and open data standards to digital as-builts, GIS, and asset management. The discussion will examine how BIM for Infrastructure can create a continuous flow of reliable information throughout the infrastructure lifecycle. The program will also feature HEEP officers discussing the direction of BIM for Infrastructure, the role of transportation agencies, the importance of open standards such as IFC, and what is needed to move from individual digital projects toward a connected, interoperable transportation industry. The goal is not simply to deliver projects digitally, but to create infrastructure information that can continue to provide value long after construction is complete.
