The NBA Has a Keaton Wagler Problem

He was 5'8", 110 pounds, and ranked 143rd in the country. Four years later, the Clippers took him 5th overall. This is the full story of Keaton Wagler — a fourth-generation basketball player from Shawnee, Kansas who got passed over by every blue-blood program, walked on late to Illinois, and then dropped 46 points at Mackey Arena on the 4th-ranked team in the country. He shattered Illinois' freshman scoring record, led the Illini to their first Final Four in 21 years, and forced the entire NBA Draft industry to rewrite his scouting report. But the questions are real. Zero dunks all season. A 188-pound frame. A wingspan that's short for his position. Can his feel, shooting, and basketball IQ survive against NBA-level athletes — or does the athleticism catch up with him?
