SODOM - Interview with Tom Angelripper

‘The Arsonist’, the new studio album from Teutonic thrash legends Sodom will be released on 27 June by ‪@steamhammer‬. For the occasion, we spoke with Tom Angelripper, iconic frontman and bass player of the Gelsenkirchen band, who told us about the background of this new work, five years after ‘Genesis XIX’. Tom told us about the cover art - and gave us his take on AI! - and his iconic bass guitars, visible behind him during the video interview. There is an emotional remembrance of Chris Witchhunter, late drummer and close friend, to whom a track on the album is dedicated. We also spoke about the era of ‘In The Sign Of Evil’, and his plan to retire from touring after the two 2025 concerts, but made it clear that this would not mark the end of Sodom.
