Reflections from The Past | Arsalan Ahmed & Yasin Asad | WSG

What if the path Allah chose for you looked nothing like the one you planned? In this candid and soul-stirring conversation, Arsalan Ahmed and Yasin Asad pull back the curtain on their personal journeys — from the lecture halls of LUMS to the sacred circles of the madrassa. Two paths, two stories, one undeniable truth: when Allah calls you, no worldly credential can compete. This is not a talk about abandoning the dunya. It is a honest reflection on what it means to truly surrender — to trade prestige for purpose, comfort for clarity, and ambition for Allah. Rooted in lived experience and Quranic conviction, their stories cut through the noise of what success is supposed to look like. Because the question was never LUMS or madrassa. The question has always been: are you willing to go where Allah is calling you? 🧭 What You'll Discover How two high-achieving students found themselves drawn to the path of Islamic knowledge The internal struggle of choosing deen over dunya in a world that values credentials What the transition from elite academia to the madrassa actually felt like Why Allah's plan often begins where your own plan ends The role of sincerity and intention in shaping a life of meaning How surrendering to Allah's call brings a peace no degree can offer Lessons for anyone standing at a crossroads between worldly success and spiritual purpose 🕰️Timecodes: 0:45 Introductions and the beginning of their journeys 7:20 Life at LUMS — the expectations and the emptiness 18:35 The turning point — when the call came 29:10 Stepping into the madrassa — fears, doubts, and clarity 41:05 What they left behind and what they gained 54:30 Advice for those standing at the crossroads About Naseeha Institute: www.naseeha.live Follow us ► https://linktr.ee/naseehafoundation Support Naseeha: WhatsApp 03114010023 for details.
