We Bought a Beetle for 1 Cent... Then Took It to a Car Show

We took our $0 Volkswagen Beetle build to the biggest and most prestigious Volkswagen-only car show in Utah… and honestly, we had NO business being there. 😂 This car started as a zero-dollar build and was about as rough as you’d expect. But before the show, we decided to see just how far we could take it without turning it into something it wasn’t. We lowered it by cutting the springs, painted the wheels, and clear-coated the patina to give this rusty old Beetle just enough of a fighting chance. We showed up with absolutely zero expectations of winning anything. In fact, we figured we'd probably stick out like a sore thumb surrounded by some of the nicest Volkswagens in Utah. But something completely unexpected happened. Instead of getting laughed out of the show, we were met with an insane amount of support from the Volkswagen community… and somehow, we ended up leaving with a surprise we never saw coming. This is the story of taking a $0 Beetle from a rough-around-the-edges project to one of the most memorable days we've had with a car.
