Hickman Action Operation in Knabe Piano

Demonstration of a single note in a Hickman piano action from a Knabe piano. Video of the components in operation as the key is struck. Also of interest are the minor differences between this action and the other Hickman action in the Mason and Hamlin currently under restoration. This action is stamped with the date (JAN 1929) on key C1. According to entries in Hickman’s diary. The Hickman actions for all the piano brands owned by the American Piano Company were made in the Knabe factory.
