THEME: “DIVINE KINGDOM” (Daniel 2;21) وہی وقتوں اور زمانوں کو تبدیل کرتا ہے۔وہی بادشاہوں کو معزُول اور قائم کرتا ہےوہی حکیموں کو حکمت اور دانش مندوں کو دانش عنایت کرتا ہے۔ Introduction: Depending on dreams and interpreters: 1. When we look our future blind and hopeless due the circumstances. 2. Daniel probably in his teens, captivated in Babylon. Nation is crushed; temple plundered. Nebuchadnezzar has signed an order to execute every wise man in his empire. What will be the situation then? 3. Daniel doesn’t panic. No human strategy made. He prays, and when God answers, he worships. He confesses that God is the King. Context: Nebuchadnezzar attacked on Jerusalem in the third year of Yahuyaqeem and captivated people including Daniel and other three people. The crisis (2:1-13). King demands both the dream and its meaning. They said no human can do this. The king, furious, orders their execution. The request (2: 14-18). Daniel asked for time and gathers his three friends, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, to seek mercy from "the God of heaven." The answer (2:19). The mystery is revealed to Daniel in a night vision. پھرراتکوخوابمیںدانیایلپروہرازکُھلگیااوراُسنےآسمانکے ُخداکومُبارککہا۔ The response (2:19-23). He didn’t go to the king rather blesses God. Outline: 1. God rules over the history: (time and space) 2. God rules over rulers: 3. God rules over the wise: 1: God Rules Over Time and Seasons "He changes the times and the seasons..." 1.1, No any horoscopy but God who made them: The Babylonians believed the stars and fate governed events, which is why they had astrologers and diviners. Daniel says The One who made the heavens governs the calendar, not the stars. (Hebrews 13:8)2. God Rules Over Rulers and Nations "...He removes kings and raises up kings..." 2.1, God is the king of kings: Gen. 3:4-5 You will be like God after disobeying HIM. Nebuchadnezzar was like it in (Daniel 4:30-32). بادشاہنےفرمایاکیایہبابلاعظمنہیںجسکومیںنےاپنیتوانائیکیقُدرتسےتعمیرکیاہےکہداراُل ّسلطنتاورمیرےجاہوجلالکا نمونہ ُہو؟۔ 31بادشاہیہباتکہہہیرہاتھاکہآسمانسےآوازآئیکہاے ُبنوکدنضربادشاہتیرےحومیںیہ ٰفویہےکہسلطنتجسے جاتی رہی۔ 32اور تجھے آدمیوں میں سے ہانک کر نکال دیں گے اور تو میدان کے حیوانوں کے ساتھ رہے گا اور بیل کی طرح گھاس کھائے گا اور سات دور تج پر ُگزریں گےتبتجکومعلومہوگاکہحقتعالیٰآدمیوںکی ُممُلمیںحکمرانیکرتاہےاوراُسےجسکوچاہتاہےدیتہے۔ The was done with his son Belshazzar in chapter 5. Persia will replace Babylon. Greece will replace Persia. Rome will follow. Every great power believed it was permanent. A false claim. Please. 2.2, Political power is real but borrowed. Paul says in Romans 13:1: ہر خَشا علٰے ُحکومتوںکاتا عببداررہےع ی ُکونکہکوئی ُحکومتاخیسی ع ینجو ُخداکیطرفسےنہہواورجو ُحکومتیں خموجودہیںوہ ُخداکیطرفسے ُمزرہیں۔ اُسنےاع ّ یخاروالوںکوتختسےگِرا عدیااورپستحالوںکو ُ ببد ع یکا۔.)2.3, Mary sings it in: (Luke 1:52 3. God Gives True Wisdom and Discernment "...He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding." 3.1, Worldly Wisdom: The royal wise men of Babylon had the credentials, the training, the court positions. They said, "What the king asks is too difficult. No one can reveal to the king except the gods" 3.2, Divine Wisdom: Daniel, by contrast, is "wise" in a different sense. He is the one who trust in God: (Daniel 2:22). 3.3, Source of Wisdom: "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom" (Proverbs 9:10). Also in James 1:5.
