The mausoleum complex consists of inner and outer city walls. The original burial mound was over fifty zhang (approximately 150 meters) high and shaped like an inverted bucket; it still stands at seventy-six meters today. According to the *Records of the Grand Historian*, the underground palace was built by "digging through three springs, laying copper, and placing the coffin." Modern geophysical surveys confirm its area to be approximately 180,000 square meters, with stone palace walls four meters thick. It contains mercury rivers, nine-tiered terraces, and representations of celestial and geographical features, and remains unexcavated. Over six hundred burial pits have been discovered outside the mausoleum, and Pits 1, 2, and 3 of the Terracotta Army have yielded over seven thousand terracotta warriors, one hundred chariots, and tens of thousands of bronze weapons, all arranged according to the Qin army's formation, guarding their master—a site known as the "Eighth Wonder of the World." Mount Li is named after the mausoleum; its body is composed of gneiss and granite, with flowing hot springs and evergreen vegetation. The incident of King You of Zhou lighting the beacon fires to amuse his concubine took place on its summit. The mausoleum and the mountain are intertwined, forming a "mountain-backed, river-fronted" pattern, symbolizing "eternal security." Two thousand two hundred years later, the burial mound is covered with lush green grass, the terracotta warriors still stand guard, and the hot springs of Mount Li continue to flow. The Qin and Tang dynasties' legacies are all transformed into a silent epic of mountains and rivers. Thanks for Watching. Please Like, Subscribe & Share if You Enjoy Our Work.
