As the day slowly comes to an end in a small fishing community in Barangay Masaplod Sur, the evening is far from over. Before the fishermen cast their nets, there is still work to be done. Arthur and Dodo carry their small outrigger boat to the sea, but first they walk to a dry riverbed to cut fresh grass for the family's cattle. Heavy sacks filled with grass are carried back home, where they will be used to feed the animals the following morning. As darkness approaches, the community gathers at the shoreline. Under the watchful eye of the experienced fisherman Philippe, the fishing net is cast twice from the boat. The catch is modest, but for the families every fish counts. Children eagerly gather around the bucket, curious to see what the sea has provided that evening. This documentary was filmed in Purok 3, Barangay Masaplod Sur, Dauin, Negros Oriental, Philippines.
