Why We Need the Fire | Kingdom Conversations Podcast Ep 3

Why We Need the Fire | Kingdom Conversations Podcast What if the fire of God isn’t just about what happens to us in an encounter, but what God wants to transform within us? In Episode 3 of Kingdom Conversations, Apostle Barney Huie and Dr. Wayland Henderson explore the reality of God’s fire, its purpose in the life of a believer, and why the Church desperately needs the Fire of the Holy Spirit. Through personal testimonies, biblical examples, and powerful discussions, they unpack the fire of God as both a manifestation of His presence and a refining work that transforms our understanding of who He is. From Moses and the burning bush to the Day of Pentecost, Scripture reveals a God who makes Himself known through fire. But His fire isn’t simply about supernatural manifestations. It’s about holiness, transformation, empowerment, and preparing a people who can carry His glory. In this episode, they discuss: • The Fire of God — Why God’s fire is more than an emotional experience or supernatural manifestation, and how it reveals His presence and character. • The Purpose of Refinement — How encounters with God and seasons of testing can expose false perceptions, remove what doesn’t belong, and produce Christlike character. • The Fear of the Lord — Why a healthy reverence for God must be accompanied by an understanding of His love and the comfort of the Holy Spirit. • The Fire of Pentecost — How the outpouring of the Holy Spirit empowered the early Church and why believers today should hunger for the fullness of what God has made available. • Beyond Spectator Christianity — Why the Church must move beyond simply watching others minister and begin equipping believers to participate in the supernatural work of God. • A Fire That Outlives Us — The importance of spiritual inheritance, impartation, and raising up sons and daughters who carry the presence, power, and vision of God into future generations. The conversation also explores the relationship between Elijah and Elisha and what it means to receive a spiritual inheritance that goes beyond simply following another person’s ministry. The goal isn’t just to experience the fire. It’s to be refined by it, transformed through it, and empowered to carry the glory of God. Are we willing to embrace the refining process, or are we only pursuing the power that comes afterward? Join Apostle Barney Huie and Dr. Wayland Henderson for another Kingdom Conversation as they challenge the Church to pursue God’s presence, embrace His refining work, and raise up a generation that carries His fire.
