Museveni postpones meeting on digital number plates contract

The President’s meeting with the Parliamentary Committee on Physical Infrastructure did not conclude as expected after he postponed it to allow officials from Russia’s Joint Stock Company Global Security, which produces digital number plates, to attend. The decision followed concerns over alleged irregularities in the contract award process and questions about the company’s capacity to produce vehicle trackers.
