ProCo FatRat vs Joyo JF-21 Splinter - Guitar Distortion Pedal Review

ProCo FatRat: Made in USA, 5 Year Warranty, Quality Parts, Hand Built, $199 Price Tag. Joyo JF-21 Splinter: Made in China, No Stated Warranty, Cheap Parts, Assembly-line Built, $38 Price Tag. Who will win? Spoilers below!!! 👇 ---------------------------------------------------------------- Conclusion: both sound VERY similar. If blind testing, would be extremely difficult to tell the difference audibly. If anything, the Joyo has a bit more bottom end & punch whereas the ProCo has a bit more mids/top and transparency... but when dialed into different settings, I'm sure both could sound similar enough that it would fool most folks' ears. PS: I completely disregarded the "extra feature" of using the ProCo with 18vDC to "create more headroom". Yes, it may be a cool feature, but couldn't be part of this comparison.
