SCA 120 Gallon PNP: Part 02, Plumbing Part One

Bulk Reef Supply https://bulkreefsupply.sjv.io/oqDzbm My First Fish Tank https://myfirstfishtank.com All Valves/Unions purchased from Supply House: www.supplyhouse.com --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This video is all about plumbing. Originally, my plan was to just use the stock plumbing that came with the system. The problem was with the Durso Standpipe. I wanted to overpower my tank's filtration, and that meant that the Durso would likely not be able to handle the added flow without making loud sounds. Plus, it always makes me nervous to have an aquarium plumbed without an emergency drain! So then my thoughts went to just hard plumbing in a Herbie overflow and leave it at that. But I quickly realized that hard plumbing my entire system now, would be the best. Plus I could build in a manifold and even space for a chiller. I think the real reason I was hesitant was because I had never hard plumbed a tank before, and I no virtually nothing about plumbing. But the only way to learn something is to do it, so I researched the heck out of it, and viola, I came up with a plan.
