Elton John / Philadelphia Freedom (Isolated Bass, Drums, Vocal)

There are others who compete for that top position (McCartney, Entwistle, Verdine White) but there is no other bassist who could play so many different styles with such natural musicality and creative flair. Legendary Elton John producer Gus Dudgeon was known to say "I've never come across anyone quite as good as him". I couldn't agree more. He was also one of the coolest, kindest and most generous people I've ever met.
