EEB Gender Equality Awards - UN Women + UNODC

The Empowering Every Badge project seeks to promote gender equality in law enforcement across Eastern Africa to ensure more gendersensitive policing services, to strengthen community trust in law enforcement agencies, and enhance the overall effectiveness of police operations. The initiative focuses on addressing gender imbalances within police institutions by fostering more inclusive and diverse work environments for sustainable and transformative change. The pilot is currently being implemented in Djibouti, Kenya, Rwanda, Seychelles, and Tanzania, with the aim of creating good practices that can be scaled across the region.
