🌿 KERALA VLOG | Munnar to Thekkady | Eravikulam National Park, Kundala Lake, Spice Garden & Boat Safari 🐘🌧️
Our Kerala adventure continues as we wake up to a beautiful morning at Tea County Resort, Munnar, enjoy a delicious breakfast, and set off to explore some of Munnar’s most famous attractions.
Our first stop is Eravikulam National Park, where breathtaking tea-covered valleys stretch as far as the eye can see. Unfortunately, the rain decided to join us, so we couldn’t explore as much as we had hoped—but the misty landscapes were still absolutely stunning.
Next, we visit the peaceful Kundala Lake, which instantly became one of my favorite places in Munnar. The calm water and surrounding scenery made it the perfect place to soak in nature before heading to Mattupetty Echo Point. Well… let’s just say it didn’t exactly live up to its name for us! 😂 With loud music playing everywhere, hearing any echo was nearly impossible.
After that, we stopped at Mattupetty Dam. While it looked quite similar to Kundala Lake, we still enjoyed walking around the area and browsing through the local roadside shops for a few cute knick-knacks and souvenirs.
The next morning, we checked out of our hotel and made our way to Thekkady. On the journey, we visited a Spice Garden and an Ayurvedic Garden, where we learned more about Kerala’s world-famous spices and traditional Ayurvedic practices. It’s easy to see why so many travelers come to Kerala for its natural remedies and wellness experiences.
By evening, we finally reached Thekkady, and our stay was something truly special—our resort was located right inside the Periyar Tiger Reserve, making it my very first experience staying in the middle of a wildlife sanctuary! After giving you a room tour, we headed straight for the famous Periyar Lake boat safari, where we were lucky enough to spot plenty of wildlife in their natural habitat.
From misty mountains and lush tea plantations to peaceful lakes, aromatic spice gardens, and unforgettable wildlife experiences, this part of our Kerala journey was filled with memories we’ll cherish forever. ❤️
