It's unusual to see Type 9s on an ordinary day in service on the Medford branch of the Green Line. This is because this branch is part of the E line, which street runs from Copley to Heath Street. The Type 9s have sliding doors which prevent these cars from safely being operated to Heath Street, vs the folding doors the Type 7s and 8s have. The folding doors have "STOP" stickers to warn motorists of the LRVs boarding and alighting passengers. In this video the Type 9s have E train signage running on the Medford branch as a shuttle between Medford / Tufts and Government Center as the Heath St branch was shut down for maintenance during the making of this video. Thanks to ‪@ConnectionTransit‬ and ‪@RailfannerMario‬ for accompanying me this trip! Thumbnail edited by ‪@ncsrailfan7460‬
