This is a continuation of my previous video about how division is holding us back.
But this time, I'm asking why.
Why is knowledge so unevenly distributed? Why is it so uncommon to seriously educate yourself about something simply because you're interested in it, rather than because it helps you get a job?
For a huge part of society, education becomes something we do to become employable, while our actual curiosity gets pushed aside.
And now AI is changing that equation.
We have access to machines that can explain almost anything, write code, summarize books, answer questions, and solve problems in seconds. That's incredible—but if we stop learning because we can simply ask a machine, what happens to our ability to think?
I also get into the strange relationship between work, physical health, learning, and human potential. We stopped using our bodies as much for work after industrialization, and suddenly bodybuilding could become something people pursued for enjoyment. Could learning eventually become the same way?
If technology frees us from more work, maybe that shouldn't mean becoming less curious.
Maybe it should mean finally having the time to become more human.
This is just a 10-minute yap session over Splatoon 3 gameplay, but the bigger question is serious:
If humanity has the ability to learn, build, create, cooperate, and understand more than ever before, why are we still so divided?
We're all living on the same planet. Maybe we should start acting like it.
Gameplay: Splatoon 3.
Think I'm wrong? Tell me why. The goal is to question, learn, and think harder—not just agree with each other.
