Brita Bungum is Professor of Sociology at the Department of Sociology and Political Science at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim. Her research focuses on gender equality and welfare in the Norwegian model, as well as on childhood and the relationship between parenthood and working life. Maria I. T. Olsson is Associate Professor of Social Psychology at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences. Her research focuses on gender equality and gender roles across cultures, with particular interests in gender inequalities in care work, men’s engagement in caregiving, and the ways parental leave policies and social norms shape gendered caregiving decisions.
