I like gothic metal, and I cannot lie! ;) This one's packing some energy, I hope you like it. Coming up in the next few weeks, there will be a couple of 'spooktober' themed songs with the return of a fan favourite for the end of the month. Keep rocking, friends, and thanks for listening, as always.
Queen of Ice
[Verse 1]
She walks where the winter never dies,
A crown of frost beneath black skies.
No fire burns within her hall,
No living voice behind the wall.
They say she loved once, long ago,
Before her heart was bound in snow.
Now every rose that bears her name
Turns white before it meets the flame.
[Chorus]
Queen of ice, queen of night,
Wrapped in silver, crowned in white.
Call her name, she will not hear,
Love is dead and winter's near.
Queen of ice, cold and bright,
Beautiful beneath the dying light.
Kneel before her frozen throne,
She rules the dark alone.
[Verse 2]
A thousand kings have crossed her gate,
With gold and blood to tempt their fate.
She watched them fall, she watched them freeze,
Like autumn leaves beneath the trees.
But sometimes when the moon is low,
She walks the halls of long ago.
And whispers words she can't recall
To someone painted on the wall.
[Chorus]
Queen of ice, queen of night,
Wrapped in silver, crowned in white.
Call her name, she will not hear,
Love is dead and winter's near.
Queen of ice, cold and bright,
Beautiful beneath the dying light.
Kneel before her frozen throne,
She rules the dark alone.
[Bridge]
Then one spring morning, far away,
The first black tower began to break.
She touched the glass and felt the sun—
And knew at last what she had done.
[Final Chorus]
Queen of ice, queen of night,
Now the dawn is burning white.
Call her name across the years,
Watch the frozen kingdom disappear.
Queen of ice, cold and bright,
One last shadow in the morning light.
No throne remains, no crown, no stone.
And still she stands alone.
