Three days, a few different plans, and somehow a whole lot of food. This week, we tried $1 oysters at Nome Izakaya near Sheppard-Yonge. The price was hard to argue with, but let's just say the oysters weren't exactly life-changing. After that, the usual gang headed to Icha Tea for some chikahan, while the boys took turns keeping Kiann entertained. A few days later, it was tennis with my work bestie Carrie, a surprise pimple that brought me straight back to my binibinata days, and some very unofficial tennis coaching. Apparently, watching enough tennis videos makes you a coach kuno. Then came my attempt at Marry Me Chicken Chipotle Pasta using Costco's grilled chipotle chicken. The recipe turned out great. My tiny pan, however, was not ready for the amount of pasta I wanted to make. We wrapped up the weekend with basketball at Ninong Carlo's, good food with the gang, and a little Kiann moment as he practises his own version of pagpag. I also had to call it a day on the court after an awkward landing, so that was one unexpected plot twist. Just another week of food, sports, Filipino-style chikahan, and spending time with our people here in Canada. 📍 Places featured: • Nome Izakaya, Sheppard-Yonge, Toronto • Icha Tea Thanks for spending some time with our family!
