Can you advise someone about something you’ve never experienced? 🤔 Should a woman who has never given birth give parenting advice? Should a single person give marriage advice? Or should we only take advice from people who have walked the same path we are walking? In this video, we critically examine the relationship between experience, knowledge, wisdom and the right to give advice. While personal experience can provide valuable insight and understanding, does it automatically make someone an expert? On the other hand, can someone who has never experienced something genuinely understand it well enough to offer useful advice? We’ll explore both sides of the argument, challenge common assumptions and consider why experience alone may not always be enough—and why a lack of personal experience doesn’t necessarily mean a lack of understanding.
