Albania in July 2026 Part 4 - Berat Old Town

In this part 4 of my exploration of Albania in July 2026 I focus on the Berat Old Town. Old Town - https://maps.app.goo.gl/h8j5DVPDc8eGx... Historically the Muslim quarter of the city during Ottoman rule. It features narrow, tightly stacked white houses built into the cliffside, which earned Berat its nickname: the "City of a Thousand Windows." Gorica Bridge - https://maps.app.goo.gl/gMW1GmAgg8WQZ... Originally built out of wood in 1780 and later rebuilt in stone during the 1920s, this seven-arched bridge spans across the Osum River. It traditionally linked the Christian and Muslim sides of the city. Gorica Quarter - https://maps.app.goo.gl/oQ5vwzM9p7Udx... Located directly across the river, this is the historic Christian neighborhood. Walking through its quieter, labyrinth-style lanes offers an excellent perspective looking back at the Mangalem hillside.
