To ski from the Belvedere area (Canazei) to Val Gardena, you are essentially following a portion of the famous Sellaronda circuit in the clockwise (orange) direction. Here is a step-by-step guide in English: 1. Start at Belvedere (Canazei) From the top of the Belvedere ski area, which you reach via the gondolas from Canazei, you need to head towards Passo Pordoi. Look for the signs indicating the "Sellaronda" (Orange route) or specifically pointing toward "Arabba/Corvara" initially to get over the ridge, but your main target for Val Gardena is the opposite way toward Passo Sella. 2. Heading to Passo Sella From the Belvedere ridge, follow the slopes down toward Pianataces. From there, you will take the lifts (like the Kristania chairlift) to reach the Col Rodella area. This high plateau offers stunning views of the Sassolungo (Langkofel) mountain group. 3. The Descent into Val Gardena Once you are at the top of Col Rodella/Passo Sella, you have entered the gateway to Val Gardena. Follow the slopes down through the spectacular "Città dei Sassi" (City of Stones), a scenic area where the trail winds between giant rock fragments. Continue skiing down towards Plan de Gralba. 4. Reaching Selva (Wolkenstein) From Plan de Gralba, you can follow the easy, long runs that lead directly into the village of Selva di Val Gardena. If you want to go further into the valley (toward Santa Cristina or Ortisei), you can use the underground "Val Gardena Ronda Express" funicular once you reach the bottom of the Saslong run.
