Monroe Canyon RV Park is an ATV Wonderland. There are things to see and do (besides amazing ice cream from the creamery). You are only about 15 miles from the Fremont Indian State Park and Museum, about 5 minutes away from a natural hot spring, next door from a fishing pond and if you are a Coast to Coast premier member, it’s free. The local town of Monroe is actually a very small but active town with basic amenities (and some good places to eat) but you are only 15 or so miles from a super Walmart in the town of Richfield. The only downside was Coast to Coast touting it as being central to Utah's mighty 5 National parks. This is not really feasible and the owners of the park were also surprised to hear this from Coast to Coast. You can’t find nicer or more gracious camp hosts than you’ll find at Monroe Canyon. It didn't take long that I was feeling at home and part of the family!
I definitely give a high recommendation for staying at this park.
Coast to Coast boasts that it’s centrally located to Utah’s Mighty 5 National Parks… OK it might be in the center (kind of) but you're not going to want to use this as a home base.
78 miles (1h 26m) to Capitol Reef National Park,
94 miles (1h 40m) to Bryce Canyon National Park,
125 miles (1h 47m) to Zion National Park,
183 miles (2h 46m) to Arches National Park
195 miles (3h) to Canyonlands National Park.
I hope you enjoy this part of our experience..
Safe Travels!
